Role of tectogenesis in formation or reservoirs of Lower Paleozoic carbonate deposits in central part of Chernyshev ridge

Lower Paleozoic (O3-D1) carbonate deposits were studied from boreholes drilled Talbeysky block of overthrust blocks of Chernyshev Ridge. The rock transformations, related to tectonic stress (compaction, recrystallization), resulted in considerable reduction and reformatting of their voids. Only in local extension zones the reduction of general volume of the voids was compensated by fracturing and weathering pit formation. We made an attempt to explain the difference of morphology of coeval reservoirs of various uplift blocks from the character of tectonic stress.
