The role of Tom'as Masaryk in the formation of the state borders of the first Czechoslovak republic

The article is dedicated to the process of forming the borders of the first Czechoslovak Republic, which emerged after the dissolution of Austria-Hungary following World War I. It examines the role of Tomáš Masaryk in establishing the territorial organization of the new state. It describes how, with his participation, compromises were reached regarding the inclusion of Bohemia, Slovakia, and Subcarpathian Ruthenia, as well as the resolution of disputes with Poland and Hungary over strategically important territories, such as Cieszyn Silesia.
