Labor plays an important role in the life of every person. Utopia as a full and complete system of views on the ideal of society and a reflection of culture represents the ideas about the ideal of labor. At this time, utopia is unpopular and rarely considered as a source for contemporary research. Meanwhile, utopia presents a fresh view on labor issues since all classic utopias deal with the concept of ideal society. Labor is a significant element in the performance of society. Utopian discourse applied to the ideal of labor determines the relevance of the study. The paper focuses on the English utopian theory having many examples of utopian texts with great historical coverage. The cultural and philosophical analysis of the materials available allows us to distinguish the English utopian tradition from the global one and define it as a specific school. This approach helps assess the impact of English culture on the personal preferences and concepts of English authors.
