The role of coal mining in the economy of the city of Sulykta of the Kyrgyz Republic

The coal industry is the basis for the preservation of the city of Sulukta as an urban settlement. This article highlights the role of a coal deposit in the economic life of this region and it answers the question of the impact of coal mining on the socio-economic situation of the population of Sulukta and adjacent territories. It was the development of coal production that led to the growth of the population of Sulukta, as well as the emergence of Sulukta as a city. The article explored the history of the appearance of deposits and development in the Soviet period to the present day, on the impact on the economic structure and life of the local population. The programs for the production of such areas as Sulukta and the results of the policy of the government of Kyrgyzstan in the regions were studied. With the establishment of Soviet power, a coal industry appeared in the southwestern part of Kyrgyzstan and urban settlements were founded, including the city of Sulukta.
