The article explores the role of the criminal procedure responsibility in Russian criminal proceedings. The author analyzes the concept, the content and the internal capacity of criminal procedure responsibility as an instrument of ensuring lawful behavior. The paper reviews the positive and negative responsibility in criminal procedure, the ratio and interrelation of measures of the specified categories and their importance degree in formation of lawful behavior.
