Role of attitudes in arranging a settlement of the married couples

The paper presents research results involving married couples in the process of resolving differences between them. The authors investigated the frequency of activation of negative and positive attitudes in the negotiations carried out in pairs on their own, without involvement of the mediator. It is revealed, that the incidence of the negative attitudes positively correlates with dissatisfaction of the parties with the outcome of the negotiations. At the same time, the couple express considerable interest in the involvement of the third party able to assist in resolving the dispute.
