Role of water factor at Aral region in formation of children's health

The paper discusses the results of a study of the composition of drinking water and their impact on the health of children living in the Aral sea region. In the process of the study were the results of a comprehensive evaluation of different categories of drinking water (piped, wells, open reservoirs) on the major physico-chemical components: water mineralization (dry residue), hardness (Ca+Mg), the concentrations of chlorides and sulfates, pH, presence of organic substances (for BOD5 and permanganate oxidation), nutrients, macro - and microelements in Muinak, Kungrad, Takhtakupyr, Kanlikul, Nukus, Hegelism areas of the Republic of Karakalpakstan. It is established that the correlation analysis between the quality of drinking water and morbidity of children in these areas showed that the incidence of children is closely correlated with the quality of drinking water (with concentration of sulphates in water r=0,83 and chlorides in water r=0.52). Established correlation between the incidence of children and stiffness (r=0,40) and salinity (r=0,53) of drinking water.
