The role of minister of war A. F. Rediger in the military reforms through the prism of his relations with the Russian state officials, political and public figures

In the article the author reveals previously unknown aspects of relations between the Minister of war A. F. Rediger and the Russian state officials and political figures and their influence on the development of military reforms by Rediger. Through the prism of personal and official interactions of the leading political figures the author analyzes the key characteristics of military reforms in Russia in the early XX century. On the basis of subjective assessments given to many historical personalities by A. F. Rediger, the author suggests an objective analysis of their interaction during the reforms. Some of the revealed characteristics allow us to take a fresh look at the very identity of the Minister of war. The memoirs of a direct participant help to create an emotional slice of the decisive historical events.
