The role of the national guard troops of the Russian Federation in the political mechanism of countering terrorism

Terrorism as a negative socio-political phenomenon currently poses a real threat to Russia's national security, regardless of the course of public administration pursued by its leadership. According to the Military Doctrine of the Russian Federation, terrorism in its various manifestations is one of the main external and internal military dangers for our country. At the same time, the “plot” of terrorism, as an actual phenomenon, including the mechanism for countering it, is a kind of abstraction that cannot be reduced to the usual set of its external manifestations and has not been studied enough. The article attempts to briefly reveal the political mechanism (in the “broad” and “narrow” sense) of organizing the fight against terrorism that has developed in recent years in the Russian Federation, and the role of the Russian National Guard troops in this mechanism.
