Russia-ASEAN: two decades of development

The article provides an analysis of the contemporary status of political and economic international relations between the Russian Federation and ASEAN economics. It starts with a brief background of the initiation of Russia-ASEAN official relations followed by the role and meaning of US and China politics for South East Asia region. Special attention has been drawn to talks on current projects between some representatives of Russian business with prominent heads of ASEAN. Results of the Business Forum and Russia-ASEAN Summit are analyzed together with making conclusions concerning Russia-ASEAN international relations.
