Russia and the West: from dialogue to confrontation

The author considers that assessing of the reasons of the US victory in the cold war was largely erroneous. Nowadays an apparent crisis of the system of international relations reveals structural inconsistencies of the US foreign policy strategy. The article also deals with new tendencies in the US foreign policy, which could be indicated after the victory of D. Trump at the presidential elections.
