Russia in 2020: population and labor forecasts

Article is devoted to discussion about the future of population and labor force in Russia. In 2020 population of Russia can be from136.2 to 145.6 million persons. Population at working able age can decrease from 88 million persons now to 77 − 80 million persons in 2020. However the reduction of economically active population number will be less – with 76 to 69 − 71million people. As a result of excess of rates of increase of labor productivity over rates of increase of gross national product requirement of economy for labor to be reduced with 70 to 64 − 67 million persons.
