Russia in geo-political environment

The modern Russian geo-politics is represented by two principal directions. The adherents of the liberal direction declare that the essential goal for Russia is to acquire the capability of integrating into the Western civilization. The other direction is conservative. It is based on the state centrist paradigm, according to which Russia should develop as an original civilization and one of the centers of the emerging multiple-polar world.
