Russia - Vietnam: current state of bilateral cooperation and promising areas of the economic collaboration development

The article analyzes current state and promising areas of bilateral cooperation between the Russian Federation and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. To strengthen Russia’s positions in the Southeastern Asia there is a need for optimization of the bilateral economic collaboration with the countries of the region. Factors affecting development of the mutually beneficial cooperation should be thoroughly studied. It fully applies to the research of Russian-Vietnamese relations, which, being broken in the early 90's, are gradually gaining a positive trend and have significant potential.
