The progress of international relations between the Russian Federation and the Kingdom of Thailand in the twenty-first century is described in the article. Description of the international relations established between two countries in the previous seven years is also incorporated, even though these relations were not included into the book “Russia - Thailand: the history of relationships (XIX -beginning of XXI centuries)”. The Prime Minister of Thailand Thaksin Shinawatra visited Russia in 2002. The President of the Russian Federation V. V. Putin visited Thailand on the 21-22 of October, 2003. Sirikit, the Queen of Thailand, visited Russia on the 2-11 of July, 2007. The Prime Minister of Russia D. A. Medvedev visited Thailand in April of 2015. The bilateral negotiations conducted by the countries’ representatives resulted in conclusion of contracts on the development of trade-economic and military-technical cooperation, as well as on the expansion of cultural-humanitarian contacts. Thailand is becoming one of the main trade partners of Russia among ASEAN countries. The purpose of the article is to demonstrate that our bilateral, traditionally friendly relations, having been established at the turn of the XIX and XX centuries, will be continued in the twenty-first century. The Prime Minister of Thailand Prayuth Chan-OCHA in an interview to the correspondent of TASS said: “We are friends and our friendship will exist for yet another century and probably more than one”.
