Russian economy. Foundations of industrial policy and protectionism

The integration of the Russian economy into the dollar-denominated world economy was unsuccessful. The international embargo (a set of trade, currency, financial, technological... restrictions) initiated by the United States excludes the possibility of further functioning of the Russian economy within this system. Under the conditions of the embargo, the Russian state has a need to identify and implement alternative opportunities for the development of the national economy. The circumstances complicating the situation are the export-oriented nature of the national economy and the non-convertibility of the national currency (ruble). Accordingly, the object of the study is the actions of the state under the embargo. The subject of this work is the theoretical and empirical foundations of industrial policy and protectionism. The purpose of the work is to determine the theoretical and empirical foundations of the industrial policy and protectionism of the Russian state in the situation of the embargo. The peculiarity of this work is that this kind of foundation is investigated in the context of the economic interest of the state.
