The Russian economy in the context of the development of the innovation component

In the presented work, the authors consider the factors and trends in the development of the Russian economy in the context of innovative and technological components. The relevance of this study is due to the importance of innovative development in the context of ensuring national and economic security, competitiveness of the Russian Federation. The purpose of the presented research is to conduct an economic, statistical and factor analysis of the development of the Russian economy in the context of the innovation component under the influence of external and internal factors. The authors consider the dynamics of the share of products of high-tech industries in the gross domestic product, the costs of technological innovations of organizations, registered research and development works, identified results of intellectual activity in the Russian Federation for 2017-2021. The study revealed an increase in the share of high-tech industries in the gross domestic product of the Russian Federation by 1.8% in absolute terms and reached 23.6%, and the volume of expenditures on technological innovations of organizations in the Russian Federation increased by more than 69%, which is a positive trend in terms of ensuring innovative and technological development of the Russian economy. Also, in 2017-2021, the total number of research and development works in the Russian Federation decreased by 10.36%. However, in the overall structure there is a significant increase in development, design and technological work (+119.34%). The total number of identified results of intellectual activity in the Russian Federation increased by 3.29%. The largest increase is noted in the number of programs, algorithms and databases (+30.93%). In the current socio-economic and geopolitical conditions, it is necessary to improve regulatory and legal regulation, transition to digital, intellectual and production technologies in the economy, create opportunities for identifying talented youth, form effective integration between the real sector of the economy, science, innovation clusters and centers.
