Russian airlines in the conditions of western aviation sanctions. Economic analysis of the situation

The article discusses the aviation industry of the Russian Federation, which was under the strongest influence of Western air sanctions. The closure of the airspace between Russia and Europe, the recall of leased aircraft and the ban on the supply of repair parts - all these economic problems have negatively affected the operating activities of domestic airlines and reduced the volume of passenger air travel in domestic and foreign markets. On the basis of statistical data, the authors analyzed the problems faced by business entities and made a comparative analysis of state support measures in various countries during the crisis. Particular attention is paid to the fleet of Russian aircraft, subsidizing transportation and registration of aircraft in foreign registries. The authors formulated proposals on key areas of the state’s anti-crisis policy. It is proposed to focus primarily on import substitution of foreign aircraft and the use of various economic mechanisms to support and stimulate Russian airlines. Special attention is paid to modern business models in the aviation segment, which have proven their effectiveness during the crisis. As a promising form of doing business, the development of low-cost transportation is proposed. At the end of the article, brief conclusions and the expected effect from the implementation of the proposals are given.
