Russian banks in the Republic of Kazakhstan under economic sanctions

The article examines the impact of economic restrictive measures on the internationalization strategies of Russian transnational banks (TNB). The thesis is substantiated that these measures can be considered a negative factor that will have a permanent impact on the Russian banking sector in the short and long term. The Republic of Kazakhstan is considered as an example of a state in the market of which Russian TNB are forced to operate under conditions of unprecedented pressure. Recommendations are given on the creation of new internationalization strategies that can be successfully applied by banks in the context of restrictive measures.
