Russian socio-political forks in the early twentieth century

The article considers social and political forks in Russia in the period from 1905 to 1917. The author pays a special attention to the analysis of events in 1917, when the country was at the fork in two ways of socio-political development - liberal-reformist and proletarian-revolutionary ones and reveals peculiarities and consequences of the February and October revolutions of 1917 in Russia. The author tries to answer the discussion question: «Are the February and October Revolution of 1917 in Russia two types of revolution or two stages of one revolution?»
