Russia market geotextile and geosynthetics: features, scope, problems, prospects

There are more than 100 geosynthеtic types and structures in the Russian market, the GM consumption is increasing every year, and the application fields are expanded. The GM testing methods are various dependent on the application, purpose and types. The direct application of standards for GM testing methods is difficult because of being absent the corresponding devices and testing base. The works for harmonization the national standards of GM testing methods with the ISO and EN standards are carried out very slowly, although the GM pplication and production rates and volumes are increasing every year.
