The Russian energy market under the modern conditions of sanction pressure

The article presents an analysis of the application of counter-sanction measures to regulate the supply of Russian oil. The main emphasis is placed on the legal framework for regulating the export of Russian oil under the sanctions pressure of Western countries. The methods of exercising control over the execution of the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation dated December 27, 2022 № 961 «On the application of special economic measures in the fuel and energy sector in connection with the establishment by some foreign states of the maximum price for Russian oil and oil products» are analyzed. It has been established that the Russian market is subject to significant sanctions pressure, which is aimed at weakening the economic well-being of the country, in turn, Russia counters this pressure with a number of counter-sanction measures.
