Rossiysko-kazakhstanskaya granitsa vs. Russkokazakhskaya granitsa ("Kazakhstan-Russia border"): the competition between detoponimic and ethnonimic adjectives in contemporary Russian mass media and colloquial speech

The article contains the data of a number of corpus experiments, and on the basis thereof concludes on the usage of detoponymic adjectives: rossiyskiy, kazakhstanskiy and ethnonymic ones: russkiy, kazakhskiy in Russian language both in Russia and Kazakhstan. The article also discusses in which of the said countries Russian language is more focused on the state (civil) meaning of the above mentioned words, than on the ethic one.
