Russian-Chinese relations in the context of modern challenges and threats

The study discusses the Russian-Chinese relations which have been built by the states in recent decades and have no analogs in the world. This interaction is based on mutual interests. The relations under review have reached the stage of comprehensive partnership and strategic interaction. Sino-Russian relationships are analyzed in the context of the key areas of cooperation (trade, nuclear power, military equipment). In the author’s opinion, the 2001 Sino-Russian Treaty of Friendship signed in July during the visit of Jiang Zemin to Moscow is an important stage in Russian-Chinese relations. The author presents three most likely ways to develop Sino-Russian relations, predicts the cooperation scenario of these countries until 2030. The research describes the promising New Way and New World policy based on mutual collaboration and the intention to promote friendly relations among states.
