The Russian - Turkish relations in 2000-2006

Turkey and Russia are large countries occupying a key geopolitical position in a vast and very sensitive region, covering the Balkans, the post-Soviet space, and the Near and Middle East. Turkey and Russia, being distant neighbors, are currently both cooperating and competing on a bilateral basis as well as within regional economic integration groups.
