The growth in prices for agricultural products and the Russian-Ukrainian conflict

The article examines the impact of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict on the uncertainty in the global agricultural market. This uncertainty will depress all economic indicators and may lead to a global catastrophe, namely the food problem. Grain is a global indispensable commodity that is in constant demand. The problem of providing agricultural products for all world consumption is acute for the world community. In 2021, Russia and Ukraine were among the top three global exporters of wheat, corn, rapeseed, sunflower seeds and sunflower oil. Russia is also the world's largest exporter of nitrogen fertilizers and the second largest supplier of potash and phosphate fertilizers.
