The growth of political movements in Tatarstan in the 90-ies of XX century

This article discusses the activities of socio-political organizations in Tatarstan, their ideas and methods of achieving them. The policy of "Glasnost" and the abolition of censorship contributed to the growth of political consciousness of citizens and their aspirations for national identity. It is this process that became the impetus for the emergence of Tatarstan organizations to the pursuit of relatively sovereignty of the RSFSR and Russia.
