Lodgepole pine (Pinus contorta loud. var. Latifolia S. Wats.) growth in the Republic of Komi

The growth of pine twisted broad-coniferous in the middle taiga of the Republic of Komi was investigated. At the age of 25, pine-twisted cultures have a high degree of preservation and good condition, which indicates a correct choice of ecotypes of this breed. The study of the stability of pine cultures twisted to snow and wind loads showed that these damages are not of a mass nature. Particular attention is paid to the comparison of the growth of twisted pine and Scots pine under the same growth conditions.
