Sprouts of "Posev": publishing initiatives of "the third wave" Russian emigrants

The article is devoted to the history of creation and evolution of Russian publishing house «Posev». Russian emigration of «the third wave» almost immediately began to produce its own periodicals, printed literature and textbooks in Russian. The article considers the largest magazines, published by «Posev», and the authors who collaborated with them. It is noted that various underground publications were often redistributed and dissident authors were published. Aside from the information materials, «Posev» printed banned writers, ideological and political articles, documents. There were several editors of «Posev» and «Grany» for thirty years. After the 1970-s the company received a wide recognition in Russia as an important factor of the opposition movement, it started printing Soviet authors whose works were sent to the West. In addition, manuscripts published in the Soviet samizdat could count on the publication abroad. The manuscripts were often published in the publishing house without the knowledge of their author.
