Birth of the Soviet state in the estimates of the mass peasant consciousness

The article explores political and legal notions of the peasantry in 1917 - the first half of 1920's from the materials of the Volga region. Reflection of these notions to the peasants` attitude to the Soviet power is shown. The author comes to the conclusion about the incompleteness of the process of legitimization of Soviet power among the peasants until the late 1920s.
