The article is written about the foreign Russian necropolis in Europe, its history and artistic features. Russian people found themselves abroad for various reasons, both voluntarily and emigrating under the influence of political circumstances. Living in different countries, the Russian diaspora formed its own circle of material culture, which included necropolises. Special cemeteries are military memorials. Russian or Soviet soldiers who took part in many wars that were conducted by Russia and the USSR in European countries were buried there. Russian cemeteries were built with the involvement of architects and sculptors and often were an example of highly artistic space. This is especially true of Soviet war memorials of the 2nd World War.
