Russian-Chinese bank in the system of international relations in Eastern Asia and the Kyakhta's merchantry (the end of the 19th - the beginning of the 20th century)

The article examines the peculiarities of the system of international relations in Eastern Asia at the turn of 19th - 20th centuries, which is connected with the Russian economic expansion to China. The article shows the activities of the Russian-Chinese bank as the Russian financial mediator in China and the role of Kyakhta’s merchantry as the trade mediator between two countries. Within this, the article highlights the evaluation of the activities of the Russian-Chinese bank in the contemporary historiography.
