The article deals with the issues of the residential real estate rental market as a segment of the housing market. The reasons for the relevance of the housing rental market among the population are shown. The conclusion is made about the need to develop the housing rental market. The article describes the problems that create an obstacle to the formation of the housing rental market, as well as the urban rental housing stock.
