In the next decade, a new era of mobility is expected. It could change the concept of human movement. In order to improve driving safety and comfort, car manufacturers around the world are working diligently to develop systems and technologies that can quickly assist the driver. Nowadays, with the advent of widespread access to the mobile Internet, cars are able to store, process and transmit various data. The emergence of a variety wireless connectivity solutions on the market opens up new possibilities for products and services that fully realize the idea of Connected Cars, which has become more popular in recent years. The study aims to analyze the Connected Cars market, including assessing its current state, identifying key players, trends and prospects for further development. The analysis identified both incentives and barriers to popularizing Connected Cars. The possibilities of using such technologies as 5G Internet of Things (IoT), C-V2X (Cellular Vehicle-to-Everything) and cloud services in Connected Cars are considered. The study found that connected cars are potentially vulnerable to cybercrime threats of various types of attacks, as well as the risk of intermittent connections caused by inconsistencies in the network. Nevertheless, Connected Cars is a promising technology that has the potential to revolutionize the way we drive, delivering improved comfort and safety.
