Samarkand agglomeration and the Kattakurgan local group system of the Samarkand region

The article deals with the Samarkand agglomeration, the Kattakurgan local group system and the regional types of settlement of the Samarkand region. The origin and development of the Samarkand agglomeration and other group forms of settlement are studied. The territory of the region is divided into oasis, mountain, desert and suburban types of settlement. These types of settlement are analyzed and conclusions are drawn.
