In this article, the meaning of the concept of autocracy is revealed, which is a form of exercising power in which all supreme powers belong to a single person - the monarch. The historical path of Russia to the formation of autocratic power and its factors in the category of phenomenon are also considered. The sources of Russian literature are analyzed, demonstrating the diversity of monarchical power in Russia, depending on the time period, the foreign policy situation, as well as other factors. The phenomenality of autocracy lies in its existence in Russia as a form of government for many centuries and its enormous influence on the development of society, culture, art and lifestyle. The role and relationship of the Tsar and God in the concept of Russian autocracy, as well as its central idea, which is the representation of state power as a gift from God.
