Self-isolation or upgrade - two way restriction of hazardous impact on Russia from the outside: historical experience and modernity

The article analyzes historical experience of countering Russia's hostile to outside influence, considers the impact of the implementation of modernization policy in different historical periods, makes recommendations for the development of adequate policy of Russia today, in response to some countries ' attempts to isolate our country in the international arena.
