The sangha and the politics: political aspects of the functioning of the Buddhist clergy in Buryatia and Mongolia

This research is devoted to the politological analysis of the Buddhist clergy. The Sangha is the important subject in political process in Buryatia and Mongolia. There are some differences between a public politics and the inner-church relations, though these spheres in functional structure are political. The author describes inner-sangha relations through the peculiarities of the traditional and the non-traditional Buddhist community organization.
