The soundscape as a tool of researching urban space

This article discusses the soundscape as a phenomenon and as a method of urban space research, with which it becomes possible to study the city from the standpoint of its comfort and safety. It reveals the main features of the soundscape of the modern city. The article highlights the main areas of soundscape impact on the life of citizens, manifested in the nature of their relationships with others, their own behavior and perception of reality.
