Collection and preparation of well products

Oil that has just been extracted from the bowels is not a pure product. Various salts, liquids, gases, clay particles, grains of sand are dissolved in it. It contains about a thousand different substances. After the oil is lifted from the well to the surface by one of the methods, it enters the collection and preparation system. This entire system is a rather complex of oilfield equipment, consisting of pipelines, shut-off and control equipment, metering units, separators, and tanks.
