The plant protection segment in the database "AGROS"

There are presented the results of the work for analyzing the structure and the volume of the documental flow on plant protection in the database “AGROS”. An information array on plant protection having a flashback depth since 1985 was selected using the resources of the automated search system Artifact. It is noted that the plant protection segment in the BD “AGROS” comprises above 157790 document records in Russian and foreign languages. Of them books amount to 4.5%, articles from periodicals and serials - 93.8%, author's abstracts - 1.4%, documents from other libraries - 3.4%. Over the past 5 years (2014-2018) the BD comprised 10423 documents, of which articles (domestic and foreign) amount to 92% (domestic - 52%, foreign - 48%), domestic books - 4%, foreign books - 0.4%, author's abstracts - 1.2%. On the basis of the analysis as undertaken it is possible to make a conclusion that the information component of the plant protection domain is presented in the BD “AGROS” as a wide range of international and national publications distinguished by a great variety both in types of documents, and in countries and languages.
