The plot segmentation as a device in "Posolon" by A.M.Remizov

One of the metaplot lines (the plot about «the dead fiance») from the book «Posolon» is reconstructed in the article. The structural-semantic function of the segmentation device is revealed in the model of the book's artistic world. The narrative discourse of «Posolon» is characterized by segmentation (discreteness), continuity, «assembling» and composition fragmentariness, plot inversion, parceling and different types of cohesion. The technique of the analysis of «vertex» (key) texts is developed and applied. Their constant motive complexes and figurative lines are revealed. The architectonic and rhythmic-composite specificity of the book «Posolon» is described in this article.
