Creation and implementation of high-yielding drought and disease resistant varieties is the most economically feasible factor of stable grain harvest [1]. The purpose of this research is to explore and identify varieties of soft wheat resistant to the main diseases in the forest-steppe of Trans-Urals. The study was conducted using field and laboratory methods. Based on the research findings in parent material nursery there were selected 50 varieties resistant to leaf and stem rust. Among 30 varieties from Kurgan Agricultural Research institute there were found 12 varieties resistant to stripe, leaf and stem rust infection during the infection background experiments at the National Research Institute of Phytopathology, National Research Institute of Plant Protection and Kenya (CIMMYT, Africa). Varieties resistant to brown rust: K-32598, KSBN8 № 18-7, TR-51, TR-75, TR-401. Varieties resistant to yellow rust: Rainbow, 037-17, OD-39-1, KSBN8 № 18-8, TR401, CHT-472. Moderately resistant variety to Septoria disease - TR-51. In breeding nurseries at different stages of breeding were identified 126 high-yielding varieties that showed field resistance during epiphytoties in 2015-2017. Mentioned breeding material is recommended to use in breeding programs to create new disease-resistant high-yielding varieties with high grain quality.
