Selenginsk on the way of diplomatic, spiritual and merchant missions of Russia. The chronicle of events (on materials of annals, instructions, reports and books)

This article touches on the history of one of the cities of Eastern Siberia in XVIII-XIX centuries -Selenginsk, which is known in the history of Russia and Buryatia as one of the transit points on the way diplomatic, spiritual and merchant missions of Russia to China and Mongolia. On the basis of the analyzed resources and literature the authors paid great attention on the meeting of two ambassadors in Selenginsk and following them to the place of destination. These historical events show the foundation of the state relationships of Russia and neighboring countries of Central Asia in XVIII century.
