Rural-urban migration and the socio-economic transformation of suburbs of Ulan-Ude

The article examines the role of the post-soviet migration processes in the transformation of the suburban settlements of Ulan-Ude. The author focuses on the analysis of quantitative and qualitative changes in the structure of local communities, as well as on the problems of suburban infrastructure and architecture.
