The semantic characteristics of somatic phraseological units with the component k'ez ''hand'' in the Hungarian language

The article considers the semantics of somatic phraseological units with the component kéz 'hand' in the Hungarian language. The study is based on the idioms from the dictionary by V. Bardoshy and G. Kish, which includes more than 5 000 Hungarian set phrases. The author also touches upon the methodology and the role of Hungarian phraseology in general and somatic phraseological units in particular.
