The article proposes a formal apparatus for representing the semantic meaning of contextual dates, based on the linguistic model of calendar time. Contextual dates - cases of reference and elliptical reference to single calendar intervals in the text - are part of a large part of the so-called. underdetermined time instructions. In terms of the linguistic model, the semantic value of the structural elements of contextual dates containing index (referential) indicators is presented, taking into account the type of index index, the type of the element and its position in the contextual date. Various types of ellipsis are considered in contextual dates and methods for restoring omitted values
