The article is devoted to the analysis of a semiotic phenomenon - 'Russian text' that is defined by the author as a textual unity and is represented in the texts published in the journal of Russian emigration «Contemporary notes». A semiotic function of the indicated textual unity is investigated on the basis of the mythem 'way' in fiction discourse of the journal «Contemporary notes».
