The article discusses the process of changing family-marriage relations of the traditional patriarchal Russian family in the first two decades after the October Revolution of 1917. Family reform was of great importance to the Bolsheviks, since the goal of the revolution was to remake society and create a "new" person. The author made an attempt to show how the party again returns society to the traditional model of the family, which was called the Soviet one, from experiments in the marriage policy of the party.
