Separation of grain moving along a flat sieve that performs transversal oscillations

A brief review and analysis of grain cleaning equipment for intensifying the process of separating grain material is presented. For a flat sieve of a grain cleaning machine that performs transversal oscillations, a model for grain separation is proposed. A differential equation is given that determines the change in the separated material in the volume dV in time, taking into account the accepted assumptions. The flows of the separated grain material through the surfaces limiting the selected volume are considered. It is proposed to consider the flows of separated material as the sum of the advective and diffusion flows of the separated mass through the given surfaces of the sites designated by hI and hII. Formulas have been obtained to describe both advective and diffusion flows of the separated grain mass. The dependences of changes in the advective and diffusion flows through the areas I and II of the volume dV are given. It is recommended to study the separated mass, which depends on many factors, by probabilistic methods.
